The Department

The program in Electrical & Electronics Engineering is a multidisciplinary course that aims to train engineers in the field of Core Electrical Engineering along with application of Electronics Engineering inn electrical. The focus of the Electrical & Electronics Engineering Branch is in the area of Power, Renewable Energy, Instrumentation, Electronics devices and communication. The curriculum covers a wide array of subjects ranging from Electric Circuits & Machines to instrumentation, Power Electronics, microcontrollers & PLCs and Digital Signal Processing etc. The Department is well equipped and has lab facilities in the areas of Electric machinery, Computer Aided Power Systems Analysis, Linear Circuit Analysis, Control Engineering, Microcontroller & PLC, Virtual Instrumentation and Communication Engineering.

Students Society

The Electrical & Electronics Engineering Students Association (AHAMVRITTEEE) represents current students within the Dept. at GITA-Bhubaneswar. Our goal is to organize social and professional activities which strengthen and enrich the community within the department, and to help publicize various research activities within the department. We organize social events, host talks by guest speakers and students, and help communicate with the department and the students.

Aims and Objectives of the society:

To further the knowledge and awareness in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering through meetings, discussions, quizzes and the like

To create a spirit of brotherhood and co-operation amongst the members of the Association

To develop leadership and initiative, and to inculcate a sense of responsibility amongst the members of the Association

We are conducting a National conference in recent technological advancement as well as an Industrial visit to OPTCL, Chandaka for the betterment of the students. By policy we conduct one or two industrial visit / batch. We also conduct one national seminar and one/two workshop every year on modern technology.

PO1 Engineering knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and electrical engineering to the solution of engineering problems.

PO2 Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review literature and analyze Electrical and Electronics engineering problems to design, conduct experiments, analyze data and interpret data.

PO3 Design /development of solutions: Design solution for electricaland Electronics engineering problems and design system component of processes that meet the desired needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal and the environmental considerations.

PO4 Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions in electrical engineering.
